[3:04] Leanne Elliott: Yeah, so hybrid working is something that's really gained popularity as a term from the pandemic, or post-pandemic, kind of the early life post-pandemic, where organizations have found themselves with a workforce who have a preference to work sometime in the office and sometime remotely. That structure, that split of being on-site or remote is called hybrid working
[3:29] Al Elliott: Brilliant. So, we were talking before we pressed record, you were explaining that remote working isn't actually a new thing, although it might be new to a lot of people. It's not a new thing. So, tell us, what's the history of remote working?
[3:41] Leanne Elliott: Yes, I mean, remote working in some capacity has been around since the 1980s, but it really gained momentum during the noughties and tennies. Do we call it the tennies? It sounds weird though
[3:52] Al Elliott: The teens?
[3:53] Leanne Elliott: The tweenies?
[3:54] Al Elliott: No, that doesn't sound right
[3:55] Leanne Elliott: Anyway, since 2000, since the millennium, purely because technology facilitates this much more easily than it ever has before. So yeah, remote work is not new. What's new is the scale on which people are now able or have worked remotely
