[44:28] Leanne Elliott: Tony, I know our listeners will wanna learn more about you, your work, get your book. Where's the best place for them to do that?
[44:33] Tony Cooke: The book is on Amazon, Leanne. The book is in Waterstones. Uh, I think on my LinkedIn there's a, there's a link that sends you straight to Amazon. Uh, it's in paperback, it's in hardback. I'm on LinkedIn, uh, and I'm more than happy to help anyone with any questions that come through yours or through this conversation. Or they can ask me, more than happy to assist
[44:53] Al Elliott: That was Tony Cooke. And honestly, if every HR department was half as creative and results-focused as his team was, workplaces would be completely transformed, in my opinion
[45:03] Leanne Elliott: Let's wrap up with our top 3 takeaways for leaders who want to create genuine change from within their organisations. And I must say, anyone who is familiar with HR 2.0, this aligns very nicely and really does show what a maverick and an innovator Tony is. So lesson 1, collaborate with senior stakeholders early. Tony's biggest learning was that even the best ideas need buy-in from decision makers. So build those relationships before you need them, not after. Lesson 2, learn the business inside and out. Don't just be an HR person, be a business partner who understands revenue and competitors and strategic priorities. Tony challenged HR professionals to know their company's turnover. Do you? And lesson 3, show your human side. Stop being the aloof rulemaker and let people see you're human with frailties, bad days, and emotions. People warm to authenticity, not perfection
